Having a flat tire can be quite a monkey wrench thrown into your plans. And while it is certainly an inconvenience, it doesn’t have to ruin your entire day. If you know what to do, then you can have it changed in just a few minutes and be back on your way.
Start by breaking the lug nuts loose with the lug wrench. Be sure to do this before the wheel is off the ground. You can then raise the vehicle up and remove the lug nuts completely. Slide the flat tire off and replace it with the spare. You can then put the lug nuts back on and lower the vehicle back down. Finish by torquing the lug nuts back down tight.
